The Apple tree
It is a deciduous tree and reaches up to 5-12 meters tall with leaves that are oval with a pointed tip. It blooms in spring with white flowers (light pink at the beginning), 2.5-3.5 cm in diameter, with five petals. The fruits ripen in autumn, and usually have a diameter of 5-9 cm.
The tree prefers fertile soils, deep, well drained and with an adequate calcium content. The highest yields are obtained in the lowlands, where there is the possibility of great exploitation and the best quality in hilly or mountainous areas due to their more favorable climate.
