The mandarin
The mandarin is an evergreen tree that prefers warm climates. It thrives in light to sandy fertile soil and must be watered and fertilized regularly. It cannot withstand bad ventilation, poor drainage and calcium carbonate. In Summer it needs regular watering and is relatively resistant to heat. However that is not the case with frost and very low temperatures and it needs protection at temperatures approaching 0 degrees Celsius.
The flowers are small with a white violet color and are characterized by their pleasant aroma.
The mandarin can be grown in seaside and hilly areas.
In our garden center you will find varieties such as: Chian (local), Clementine, angora, Nova etc.
